2015-2020

As the production manager,  I was responsible for overseeing the production workflow and creative quality of Aperture’s award-winning quarterly magazine.

I collaborated with and coordinated various teams and individuals such as the artists, editors, art directors, designers, prepress and printers to bring these magazines to life. I managed the color proofing process and print quality control of each publication. This involved working one-on-one with the artists to ensure their work was being reproduced accurately.

I worked on a total of 20 issues of the Magazine, from 220-239.

• The National Magazine Award honors print and online magazines for superior execution of stated editorial objectives, innovative editorial techniques, noteworthy journalistic enterprise, and imagination and vigor in layout and design. Known as the “Ellie,” this important award represents magazine journalism’s highest honor and is considered the “Oscar of the publishing industry.”

• The International Center of Photography’s Infinity Awards honor outstanding achievements in photography and visual arts. Aperture Magazine received this award for critical writing and research.

2019-2020

I worked as the Production Manager for Aperture Foundation’s book program from 2019-2020. This gave me the opportunity to work one-on-one with the editors, artists and designers to advise, select and test the right materials to match the intended design of each book. I also worked directly with the artists to color proof every image to ensure our reproductions matched their prints with utmost care.
